Brookwood Farms is a cattle and sheep operation nestled in the beautiful Potomac Highlands of eastern West Virginia. It is family - owned, managed and operated.

We maintain a purebred Angus herd of approximately 130 cows and produce a few F1 crosses. A small group of registered Herefords are maintained for show stock. We emphasize a balance between phenotypic and genotypic attributes and don’t sacrifice quality by chasing fads or numbers. The farm’s extensive AI and ET programs have allowed us to utilize the most solid genetics that the beef industry has to offer. Our goal is to create cattle that can excel in both the commercial and purebred industries. The Genetic Alliance Bull Sale, which we co-host, is in its 15th year of existence. The high percentage of repeat buyers is a testament to the quality offered each year and to our customer satisfaction.

In addition to the cattle, a flock of Suffolk-Hampshire cross ewes offers a basis for our for club lamb operation. As with the cattle, we utilize the technology of both AI and ET to stay connected with the industry elite.

Our sons are avid competitors with both cattle and sheep. When it comes to the show ring, we don’t buy them - we breed them ourselves! As our numbers increase, we are pleased to share opportunities for success to the public.
